Take a taste

Another memorable experience that I had in Pangasinan was the chance to try Dagupan’s Pigar Pigar, it was the first time that I’ve heard about it.

During the night there’s a street somewhere in Dagupan where almost all restaurants were serving Pigar-Pigar. For those who doesnt know, Pigarpigar is deep fried beef or carabeef strips topped with onions, cauliflower, cabbage and broccoli.

They’ve been telling me all about it that made me so excited to try it.

Fun Rider

Yesterday was a another fun time with my friends. After going back to our office to get my last salary, we, together with Karen and Vaey went to Glorietta to eat out and just to wander around and look for clothes and Vaey went to Nokia center to get her phone fixed. Later that day, Biggs came to eat dinner with us.

We ate at Kim n’ chi

A restaurant that serves all about Korean Food (as you can see from the name, Kimchi.)

When we got out of the room.. a lot of people were watching us from the monitor, so I was really embarrassed. But, it was so fun! =)

Food fight in my mind

Image

Don’t get me wrong! =)

Lately, I’ve been eating a lot. I eat when I’m hungry and I eat even more when I’m not hungry. Whenever I’m stressed I eat and when I’m hungry I get really grumpy and snob.

Since, I been staying all day in our house, I tend to open the fridge like every 5 minutes or so, thinking that there’s plenty of food inside when in reality we have none! =)

I’ll let you inside my mind and see the foods that I’ve been craving for these past few days.

Image

Of course, when it comes to french fries, who wouldn’t want Mcdonald’s?

Image

If there’s few things that I’m good at, one of them is making pancakes! I just love the fluffiness of it!

Image

Image

I love pasta! So lasagna and baked macs are on my priority list! Spaghetti and Carbonara are also next to them.

Image

Everybody loves Burgers but I love Hotdog sandwiches more. Look at those! =)

Image

I eat any kind of pizza, I’m not very particular about that. Thin or thick crust. I prefer both!

Image

It’s rainy season here and I have coughs and colds but I’m still craving for this! Oh noess! =)

Image

It’s been a long time since I’ve eaten M&Ms =(

Image

The only authentic Asian food on my mind right now. Gimme some Maki! =))

Image

I’ve eaten these last week but I still want some more!

Image

And lastly, chocolate cake! You can tell by now, that I have a thing for sweets!

Photos are grabbed here.

It’s not bad to give in to these kinds of foods every now and then, but we should always be mindful that these foods can be harmful if consumed on a daily basis and on a large amount!

Happy eating! =)

All Filipino Food Restaurant

So, I went out again with my two closest friends, namely Irene and Michelle. Irene and I were so hungry so we we’re looking for a nice restaurant to eat at. Since we both want to try something new. We went to KKK, actually it’s my first time to hear that restaurant. I have no idea at all.

It was all about Filipino dishes but as they said they are serving it with a twist. I think, they tried to reinvent those all time Filipino favorite dishes. I was reading the menu and all of it were in deep Filipino/Tagalog language. I realized that it’s easier to understand the english translation of the words. One example is the word “tiltilan” according to them it means salads and deserts, it’s my first time to hear that word and it was stuck in my mind.

For Filipinos, KKK is an acronym for the Kataastaasang Kagalanggalang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan, a patriotic secret society founded by Andres Bonifacio.  Initially, the KKK or Katipunan was a secret organization until its discovery in 1896 that led to the outbreak of the Philippine Revolution.

So,  since they are serving only Filipino foods, they named it KKK, with a tagline “food revolution”.

The place is like an old Philippine setting/era.

We did not order much because we’re worried that we might not be able to eat them all.

Our desert was the all time Filipino favorite (especially for pregnant women!haha) Mango and Bagoong!

Image

Here’s the Bagoong, for those who’s not familiar with this. Bagoong (Tagalog pronunciation: [bɐɡoˈoŋ]) is a Philippine condiment made of partially or completely fermented fish or shrimps and salt. The fermentation process also results infish sauce (known as patis).

See? I told you, we were so hungry! hehe. I think, this should have been an Independence day post! haha! Oh well, that was another fun filled dinner. I went home with a happy tummy and a smile on my face.

I’m looking forward to another food adventure. =)

Milk tea time

Here in the Philippines, Milk tea is becoming a real trend. You can see new Milk tea stalls and franchises everywhere. They are like mushrooms that sprout anywhere! And since Kae is not really a big fan. I asked her to try it for the first time. I’m not a fan either but once I liked the flavor, I will always crave for it no matter what. (I can still remember the taste of that Kuching 3 layer tea!)

Anyway, we dropped by Top tea! It’s also my first time trying that franchise and I must say that it’s really good.

The ambiance is also good. Image

We ordered Sweet Caramel Milk Tea and the very Popular Wintermelon Milk tea

ImageObviously, the spelling of Kae’s name  is incorrect. hehe

Oh!! by the way,I love Kae’s choker! Planning to buy one for myself next time!
